Default Boost issue

so i finally installed my boost gauge yesterday (then i wired in the lighting today after double and triple checking every vac line connection), and i went from 10in HG idle to now i'm 26ish in 5th gear rolling, then 22in Hg sitting idle, but yet, i'm STILL not boosting over 10psi. this is really annoying as i went into limp mode 2 weeks ago driving on the merrit (from i assume overboosting, since i get bad spikes).

any suggestions or ideas would be very welcomed. if not, i'll prob end up bringing it to my awe dealer and have them look for a leak since they did my chip and dv

25-26HG while rolling is perfectly normal and your vac while at idile should be around 20HG give or take a psi

if you have a BOOST leak your vaccume will read fine. If you have a boost leak you should be running rich, check your exhaust for black sutty residue and you plugs as well. have you noticed bad gas mileage. Look behind your intake mani for an L shaped hose as this is prone to failure after getting chipped. Do you hear any loud "woosh" noises at WOT like air rushing through a pipe?

i got my car about 4 months ago and have done a few mods... anyways im getting new custom exhaust this week and will be chipping it within the next month. As of now i wanted to see my mpg and im getting around 16mpg... given that i am a kid with a stick and sometimes hit the gas. i wanna know if this is bad gas milage and if mabye i have a boost leak or something wrong even b4 i get it chipped? any ideas?

well yeah then you deff have a boost leak...the L hose is located at the back of the intake manifold next to the coolant tank.
