the 98 doesnt have that option of tapping the vent lights. i have a 98.5 and i had the same problem finding power about a week ago when i was installing my vent gauge. i was going to tap the cigeratte lighter power but then when i turned off the car the gauge was still on so i couldnt use that power or it would just drain my battery. one of my friends dad is a mechanic so he told me to find a fuse to tap it to. i used the fog light fuse and it only turns on when my lights are on at night, but the problem is my fog lights dont work anymore. i will look for another fuse to tap soon when i have time to take everything apart again.

 

x75 should be tied to the ignition switch. So, when you turn your key to the off position. x75 should have no power. But, when the key on it will light up. I don't think x75 is light switched controled. The object of AWE setup is to light up the gauges with your instrument cluster and not your light switch.

 

 

or you can just tap into one of the fog switches so that when you turn ur lights on ur gauge turns on too. this way u can dim it with the rest of the lights

 

what is brrmans image showing? iknow its the fuses but what about it?

 

tapping into the fog switch is a good idea...my car(97) doesnt have front fog lights so it basicaly does nothing so i could hook mine to that and it would just turn the boost gauge light on...i think thats a good idea..

 

i think i might have finally got it i have been hooked onto the 75x the entire time but it just never worked i wont know till the night casue it is bright as **** out right now ill let eveyone know

 

Those aren't fuses,that's where the relays and terminalsare located. If you remove the panel that covers the steering column. You'll find what he is showing.
