boost gauge install help.

boost gauge install help.
Going to be running the boost gauge this weekend.. I have all the parts I need. The only questions I have are:
1)does anyone know a link that showes the best way to run the hose?
2)Is your basic homedepot clear hose okay? It holds up to 60psi.. I'm just wondering if it would melt in the engine bay?

RE: boost gauge install help.
1. what boost gauge did you buy?
2. why didn't it come with the nylon hose?
3. without a boost gauge, how do you know you're at 22psi (your sig)
4. WTF are you doing running a K04, chip, and mbc without a boost gauge in the first place?
Run the line from the gauge, under the dash, and through a grommet in the firewall and put the T in the vacuum line between the fuel pressure regulator and the intake manifold.

I changed my sig today cause it all just came in today.. I was going to hook it all up tonight, I'm pretty mechanicly inclined so figured it wouldn't be a problem. Turns out its a biiitch!!

O and its an Autometer.. I got it used off an old friend, It came with a lot of parts including the hoses but I went to 2 dif car parts stores and lowes/homedepot and couldn't find the 1 "T" conection that would be needed to use that thin hose.. So I had to go with the bigger kind and do it myself.

they have the T fitting you need at just about any auto parts store. Then you just need a short piece of vacuumhose to connect the T to the nylon line. I'd recommend checking and replacing all your old vacuum lines while you're in there.
