Chip for 2.8 = waste of $
Put it towards a S/C
I don't see how you can say that man... if you owned a 2.8, maybe you'd be happy with the results of chipping. The other guy surgeryman or whatever was clearly happy... I am sure after spending 500 bucks, you'd be very critical of the results, and pissed if they weren't noticable... but he really felt a difference--so you can't say that chipping a 2.8 is a waste of money, when there are obviously people out there who actually own and have experienced a chipped 2.8, that disagree. It's true, the gains aren't nearly as pronounced as with the 1.8T... but getting the kind of gains you do from a 1.8T, for that kind of money, is insane... that doesn't mean that getting a nice bump in power for 500 bucks on your 2.8 is a waste of money. Hell, V8 guys will spend 800 on exhaust to get them 10 hp and 15 lbs of torque... is that a waste of money, too? Exhaust in general is a waste of money, then... as the gains aren't near what a chip would give you, and it costs more.
