RE: BLUE, BLACK, OR RED?
hey jeff i think when u do ur next brake job i think its possible u can upgrade ur carriers to S4 ones and then use bigger rotor (345mm rotors) and those will look nice, it would be some what practicle becasue ur gonna have to change ur rotors so might not spend like 200 for bigger brakes
but i gotta lookin to it more to see if u can use S4 carriers

Ah.
See.....men with LEGITIMATE positions as to why or why not to do something.
That is why your opinions stay valuable around here.
Completely understandable, and for the most part, I agree with you.
My wallet, however, thinks you are the devil.
Excellent point.
At the end of the day, I'm simply jealous of RedGoat's ride and the calipers add a nice touch. (Even though his are the real deal)
Damn that Goat.....

A purist like me would never reveal his position until after you have completed the 'mod' by telling you how much I don't like it.
Anyway, unless they say "Porsche" "Brembo" (you get the idea), they shouldn't be colored unless they came factory that way. Nothing is sexier than a set of 4 piston porsche calipers in the front with zinc coated (just something about that finish) 13" drilled/slotted rotors. (Go 2 piston rear, slotted).

i voted no cause stock calipers look nicer. Anything else looks hondaish

Personally, I think it's as good as you can make a set of calipers look.
I've seen silver, yellow, etc......and other than the 3 colors I posted above, I've never seen a ride that I liked with them on.
So.
By default.
If Goat's ride looks hot, and I want to make my ride look like Goat's, then my ride will be hot.
And not....Honda-ish.
**Cheng, I haven't touched the car yet, simply bought the kit. If you have a better solution for brakes, I'm ALL ears.
God knows I need them at the speeds I drive.

RE: BLUE, BLACK, OR RED?
listen man. Unless they are GENUINE Brembo's (red) or Ceramic Porsche (yellow), please leave yours alone. Not that it will look Honda-ish, but in my opinion, it cheapens the car's look. Audi is already an understated car brand, and with that modification, you are mixing things that shouldn't (RED CALLIPERS-LOOK AT ME!!!)(Dark Colored Audi-AVERT YOUR EYES MOTHAFUKA, YOU ARE NOT WORTHY) I know modding is an addiction, but save funds for an upgrade that is not as attention grabbing...Just my opinion, and in now way am I against Colored breaks, I just think it would be a mistake to ruin the class of your car. Cheers

RE: BLUE, BLACK, OR RED?
I want to go fast, and look good doing it.
Can't afford a Ferrari.
I also want to be comfortable WHILE going fast, in a somewhat luxurious car.
Can't afford a Bentley.
I want the car to handle well and be solidly built, in the German style.
Can't afford an M5.
I will buy an A4, mod the appearance, the ECU, and the suspension.
Problem solved.
I'm 99% decided on the red calipers, but appreciate the comments.
Half of the Audi folks here think Red wins, so it can't be too bad.
A full 3/4 of the people here think Red or Black, but definitely mod.
The purists lose this battle.
