Blown speaker, passenger door

RE: Blown speaker, passenger door
just so you know, this is very common. Its a bad woofer design (dual voice coil)
The 2nd voice coil is used for the intigrated phone. So if you have a phone hooked up to the jack in your armrest that speaker is where you would hear the speakerphone from. Mine is blown, and so is everyone elses (mostly.) Fortunately, this doesnt really affect sound quality at higher volumes and is only really noticeable at very low volumes with high bass.

souddomain says they're 5 1/4" and if my memory serves me right the best buy computer says the same...assuming the speaker sizes are the same for the dif. stereos. for reference i got a 98 with the bose concert sound system.

Bestbuy is garbage =p. And yes, they are 5 1/4" speakers in the lower door. The only reason it is hard to install aftermarket speakers is because of the amp bypass you have to perform if you have the bose system.
