oh i know the chip isnt but it seems everytime i mention i have a auto.... i get the same response... but yeah i will prolly end up getting the mbc anyway... but my only problem is i cant find a chip for a auto anywhere and if i do its for a 2.8

a chip for a 97 wont work on your 04. what you want to get is the apr stage 1+. it'll give you 235hp/275lb-ft on 93 octane, which is pretty close to k04 performance for us b5 guys. chip is 500 from APR, here's a dealer locator- http://www.goapr.com/Audi/dealer/locator.php and you have to get injectors, which APR sells for 500 but you could find them cheaper in the classifieds or on ebay

Keep in mind that you 004 is a bit different in that is has the secondary piston in it, so that part will NOT stay up when you cap the vacuum port, it is only the aluminum piston that you need to be concerned with.
If it fails the test disassemble the valve and perform the service detailed in the link...
