If you just want the sound, just get an intake like mine. You'll be able to hear it all you want without having to get a bov.

No, i did it for my k04. The sound is actually too loud for my taste, I'm going to have to find somthing to quiet it. I did the intake to experiment, and turns out that i hold more psi at the higher rpms with the cone filter. I've actually been thinking of how to make a gun like silencer for where the recirc. goes back into the intake cause now I don't want to put the stock air box back on.

No but running the air through the stock air box made the psi drop off faster at high rpms.

PLUS, and this might be the MOST important thing, YOU CAN HEAR THE PSSSH WITH A DV!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this is retarded, BOV's are fine for some cars, and do enhance performance, like in the case of my dads mazdaspeed mx5. from what i hear they arent the best idea on a4's though. OP, you wont hear the BOV anyway, you dont remove your foot from the gas to shift, so when you spike and build boost it will most likely blow off air at random, which, if im not mistaken, will hinder performance as you could be potentially losing boost under acceleration....correct me if im wrong anyone

MY OPINION!! (opinion guys, get it? you don't have to agree, its an opinion.) is that getting a BOV for noise (like the kid who originally posted this thread was talking about....) is dumb and makes no sense. if you disagree, good for you. thats your opinion.
