richer is better? Now that can simply not be argued.
Running rich is better than running lean, but a rich condition for prolonged periods is not good. lessee... fouled plugs, plugged cat, carbed ignition chamber, dead O2 sensors, dead MAF... and of course all this leads to bad performance, efficiency...

Of course, it all depends on just how rich you run. The car can handle a range in either direction without many effects. I had this neighbor that lives in my same building. He ran a bov on his A4 for about 2 years. He was persistent and loyal to the core for bovs. Then one day his front O2 sensor went. about 2 weeks later his maf was bad. Then to put the icing on the cake a couple days after that he told me he replaced his cat cuz it smelled like rotten eggs and the car was bogging. I believe his car had close to 50K miles on it.

The only time you should run a bov on an A4 is if you have a custom setup that is designed for a bov.

I speak with no authority on the DV since i have never run one. i have never attacked the DV. so i would appreciate it if you guys would give me the same curtisy. if youve had a bad experience with a BOV share it. if not, shut it the hell up
and David - I am not going to stop bashing BOVs simply because you have one. If a noob asks my opinion I will give it, but of course I do not bash people. Once someone makes up their mind, so be it.

Rice = superficial mods that are only to make you look cool to your friends/opponents.

And I was referring to his logic as ricer theory.
