Default BLACK WINDOW MOLDING

I have a 2002 Audi A4 and it has the chrome molding around the windows but I really want to get black molding so I went and talked to Audi about it and they gave me an estimate of 550 bucks. I was wondering if anyone knows somewhere else that could do it for cheaper or how I could get my hands on some for cheaper?

THANKS

I take it you have a 3.0 ?
Is your car black ?
I really dont think the chrome is all that bad. Just shows you have a 3.0

my advise is to leave it alone....i've painted every piece of chrome on my car except the window molding...at first i hated it, but now i actually think it looks better with it.

yes I have a 2002 black A4 quattro 3.0 6sp manual, it doesn't look horrible with the chrome but I am a fan everything being black and flowing

i have chrome and i love it..

bent frame.. do you have 3.0??

if i were you id leave it chrome, but can the actual piece come off so he can switch it with a black molding from a 1.8T

...if you could then go to your junkyard and steal it lol!!!

Mask an area where you can apply a black non -glossy paint to the chrome, if you dont like it pay the price for the real ****. Or, just say Fukc it and life goes on with a still sweet A4. I kinda like the chrome, more luxurious looking, but not as sporty, wouldnt be enough for me to change it though. Have fun.
