how long does it take to debadge? and has anyone taken off the a4 but left the 1.8t?

If you are just going to remove the A4, i would approximate that is should take you no more than 1 hour. Getting the actual badges off is the easy part, removing the adhesive is the pain. Just be patient and you will do just fine. Make sure you have every thing you need to get the job done, such as... fishing line, goo gone or equivilant, polishing cloth, hairdryer and plenty of elbow grease, using a thin plastic card like a credit card or something will cut your time down a little. I didn't use the credit card solution myself, but others have and it worked fine. There are really good directions on this forum somewhere that is very intuitive.

i just took mine off yesterday. not a problem in the world. just use some goo-gone or goof-off. w/e you wanna call it. a cleaner with citrus works best cause it melts the adhesive in a minute and just scrapes off with ur fingernail. easiest mod for ur car

Planning on doing that myself all this is very cool to know i have a silver A4 im all im leaving is the Audi rings. Im proud to drive the Audi best car i ever Drove, The first time i got on the pedal hard i got W**D it was excellent to bad the girl wasnt there would have been nice to have 2 firsts in the car.

i debadged mine (silver with 80K) and the areas looked like ***** (faded and scratched up)until i buffedthem with whatever wax was on the shelf at the time. wax and buffright away!!
