Ballast Mounting Question HID Conversion on B6
First, before I get flamed, I did several searches and could not find a DIY on how to do a conversion on a B6 car. I didn't even find anything on the B5.
Looking in the engine compartment, I don't really see anyplace to mount the ballast on the driver's side. Could anyone help? If someone does know where a DIY for this conversion exists that would be great.

Cool... I guess the next dilemma is where to ground them? I am of the understanding that you have to ground the ballasts or the lamps will flicker.

Any ground will work fine, drill a hole (if you can't find a bolt) somewhere on the fender and scrape off the paint and use a bolt and nut to ground each headlight. If you want to get hard core you can use the ground for the electric fan (big black wire) and splice into it.

That's the whole thing. I'm not keen on drilling into my fender wells or splicing up my wiring harness. I have to find ground points where I can run a lead that I put proper terminals on so that I can ground them and not tear up my car in the process.

Well the stock ballasts are grounded through the wiring harness and i don't there is that many choices where you can ground it by the front clip of the car, so you're gonna have to get creative un-less you can find a ground somewhere on the block or body.
