yep thats it take off the rubber hose that goes to it and check it and also check that turbo inlet hose and yes it has a diapham but if the diapham was bad it wounldn't cause a boost leak it would let oil in the turbo inlet hose

There was oil in it, because i took it off the other day to change the n75 valve and there was oil in it.....are you sure that wouldnt have anything to do with the no boosting problem?

a reasonable amout of oil in it is fine, just as long as you didnt take it off and have to pour the oil out...then you might have a problem

there was a good amount of oil in it, but not a huge amount.... i was able to sit it on the side and the oil would drain out of it.

i think that may be excessive, i know there is an oil coating on the inside of pretty much the entire intake system, just from normal running... i think that you may have too much for some reason, you didnt overfill the oil did you ?... just start the motor take off the turbo inlet pipe and cram a screwdrive in there...that was you have a reason to go k04 haha, but yea i dont know what else would cause excessive oil like that

would that cause me not to boost much at all?
i have the giac ecu and im running like 2psi and i should be at about 14.7 or more.....i was going to get a new turbo, but i dont know if that would solve everything.....

to me it sounds like more of a leak then a bad turbo... if it were a bad turbo it would have like fading boost or would boost at all, or would sound like hell when it spooled, if its a leak then its something that would be letting that oil in, im not sure if the crankcase vents into the intake or not...but if it does then i would start there... if its anything on the turbo i would say your wastegate is probably shot

the pancake valve itself dosent have anything to do with your low boosting...actually i really dont know what purpous that thing serves, and if that had oil in it i would expect the inlet tube to aswell.. was there oil in it when you took it off before ?
