question is, what mods (if any) do you have?

my gas mileage went up 5-6mpg when i got chipped. The car was running rich due to the CAI that was installed, the chip evened things out.

 

bleedgreen11, what gas mileage do you see that you are dissappointed with?

 

man i haven't replaced both fuel filters...i'm gonna check on the prices of those right now. all my mods are listed in my sig. if i can just get back up above 20mpg city then i'll be happy again. thanks for all your help.

 

20 mpg in the city is typical for an A4.
The actual sticker mileage rating for city driving is 19mpg, highway 28mpg, combined 23mpg.

 

Where is the fuel filter in the engine bay? I didn't even know there was one in the engine bay. I was planning to repalce the filter at the gas tank this weekend. So I guess I'll get this other filter too and put it in at the same time.

I am seeing 16 to 20, thats highway and city, you could say more city. And I am running 89 octane, have no mods yet. I've had to put in 87 before and thats even worse.

 

you cant mod the car and expect good fuel consumption the GIAC chip is the biggest problem, you ant power you pay for it

 

I dont have any mods cept maybe my apr exhaust.. an I hammer on it in the city... i get aournd 25 MPG total, 29 on the highway


oh btw i use 92 octane, car is timed for 91.. why are you using 89?

 

I just have the mods listed below. Sometimes while normal driving I will skip gears (2nd or 4th). But on the backroads or highway I'll get on it. I haven't seen my mileage drop below 24mpg, atleast according to the electronic display. I use 93 octane.
