yea lol i agree, when u say THEIR software u mean getting it done at their facility or having a GIAC chip? cuz i mean i have to admitt my jaw dropped when they said 800 dollars.

That Fu(kin crazy!!!!!!!! - they were going to charge you $800 and then dropped it down to $25 - I hope they just made a mistake on the quote or thought you meant something a lot more difficult. It just kinda blew me out of the water when you said $800, I mean the Bosh 440's only cost $225 how the hell can you charge that much for a program to run them. But, glad everything is going to work out - tell us what he says. I also have a Tip - didn't know just installing injectors with the right program could give me that much power.

 

yea wen he said 25 for the upgrade it def swayed me towards definatly doing the mod. he was suppose to call me back on what injectors i should get. i dunt wanna put ot much stress on the tranny

 

Yup, no tip chips for the B6. I was going to go with GIAC only because i heard they had one, but they said only for the B5s, so i went APR.
I am running the APR K04 Stage1+ (+ is for injectors, there is also a stage 2 which is for a test pipe). I don't know how much of an improvement you will see going from chipped to chipped with EFIs because i did it all in one shot.

I just got my K04 programming yesterday (turbo was install over last weekend) and it throws you right back in the seat once you hit 3k, VROOM, GONE! I will feel much better once i can get a Level10 valve body and torque converter. then I'll just have to open up the exhaust I'll be set engine mod wise for a while and i can start working on her looks.

 

that awesome man congrats im dying ot get a k04, do u have a tip or a manual cuz u threw me off with all the level 10 stuff?

It's a tip, and I'm about pushing the limits of it if I'm estimating correctly. There is a company called Level 10 Performance which can upgrade your tip to be able to handle 450hp if you have the money. Speced out I figured $2500 for the new torque converter, upgraded valve body, and labor to install to be abel to handle somewhere around 350hp which should cover everything i want to do. Not too bad really, but still more expensive then a a new clutch for a manual. For now I'm just sure that I let the tranny engage before I give it gas and almost always drive in tip mode, I really dislike the way the auto shifts anyway.

 

I just talked to John @ AWE and he said that depending on the ECU # on your car a B6 Tip Chip is available!!!
So I'm hoping I have one of those lucky ECU #'s!
