Default B6 RPMS?

I just got my 03' A4 1.8T and I was wondering if it's normal for audi's to change gears in the 4-5K rmps. I haven't driven a manual car in sometime now, so I'm having a hard time telling if the clutch is slippin' or it’s just normal.

Also I can’t really hear the turbo kick in, should I be hearing the turbo? The car feels a bit under power I am thinking of taking the car to Audi for Service.

Thanks in advance for any tips.

I dont know about your shifting, but for a 2 or 3 yr old clutch, depending on miles, it shouldnt be slipping already if it was driven "properly"... The turbo is pretty quiet and is classified as a light compression turbo and yeah they are underpowered stock.. Get a chip and you will feel totally different about its power.
