Default b6 1.8t manual-chip help!!!

Ok, i am ready to chip my b6 1.8t. i have read these forums for months now and keep getting different ideas on what chip to put in my b6.
any b6 owners with chips that can offer any useful info? thanks for any advice!! I am stock right now but for sure plan to upgade my dv to a 710n. I just want a simple hp gain on a tight budget.

Not that this is the best way to answer you question or to mod your car, but see what company has the dealer closest to you. I know here in Pittsburgh there is a place like 25-30 minutes outside the city that deals with APR only. and that is the only 1 of the 3 (giac, revo, and apr) that are with-in atleast100 miles of us. I was torn between APR and revo and that helped me make the decision. There isnt a REVO dealer in the state of PA!!!

I live in southern Cal and i have basically all 3 to choose from within about 20 miles of my house. So that is why i have this dilema. I only know my car to be stock so i am hoping for a bit of wow factor. I have never driven a car with a chip so i am not sure how smooth or not smooth these chips are going to feel. Are there any other giac, apr and revo users driving a b6??? Thanks!

I just got GIAC a couple weeks ago. I didn't really experience a 'wow factor'. But then again, I may have a boost leak, and I haven't changed my DV yet, so those could be contributing to the lack of the wow factor.

I've also got some pinging when i floor it.

I'm taking it in Tuesday to get the upgraded injectors, get the DV replaced, and have them look for any boost leaks.

After that, I'll be able to give a much better review.

(oh, and the tuner basically said the 'wow factor' wasn't going to be there like it is for the B5's because the B6's already come with 20 more hp, and they're heavier. I also have tiptronic which decreases the wow factor somewhat - so i was told).

i got the giac 1+, very solid, and smooth enough for me, boosting 23, and no problems, except for a couple of coilpacks, but thats because our cars eat through them
