I know this kid who work at Taget, think his WRX can out does everything my 2.8 B5. Well... any thought on that?

Uh yeah the 2.8 isn't exactly a speed machine. Your car outdoes him in luxury comforts though.

The thing is, the 2.8 is designed as a motorway muncher. The wrx is designed to have some lunatic rag the bollox off it, and the scob will take it with aplumb! Unless you have done SERIOUS work to the 2.8, you will not stand an ice cubes chance in hell.... Just show him your interior and say "Oooh..Its so plush, and lovely" because that is all you will have him on!
