i asked my dealer the same question why wont it work when i'm like more then 3-4 feet away from the car. he said because the locking system is located in the back of the trunk so if you are coming from the front of the car u have to be close as hell, just tought i'd say this if you guys didnt know

 

Still working today with no problems. I have probably been in and out the car 8 times since it acted up yesterday. I just wish I knew what caused it to stop working in the first place. [&:]

i only have the one key. so if i change the battery i will need to reprogram the key??

 

krule, i saw a write up somewhere, probably on aw, on relocating your antenna so you can get a much better range. do a search on aw.
