B5 Heated Seats

RE: B5 Heated Seats
I have noticed the last month that my heated seat on the drivers side gets way too hot on my right butt cheek even on 1 or 2 setting... I cant use it cuz of this... I have heard of this problem before, does anyone know what it could be?

In regards to the guy that first started this thread if ur airbag light is in and ur heated seat doesnt work then id check the connection down on the bottom of the seat, possibly a little corrosion in there, maybe some dielectric grease might help ....may not be the problem but worth a look....look at the pins and see if there is all green and stuff on them, also airbage connectors are supposed to always be yellow so that will be easy to spot, and if u can get ur car run for codes for that airbag and it comes up driver airbag and ur at a local garage dont let him tell u its the clock spring in the steering wheel, they forget about the 1s in the seat

RE: B5 Heated Seats
yea the only problem is i cant see under the seat. Im taking the car to audi for a few minor problems soon. Im sure there is a correlation between the seats and the airbag but i cant get to the wires.
My car does stay out in the cold but ive left it on 6 for a good half hr before and I dont feel any more heat than my body would generate into the seat.
I'm gonna have to get em checked out. I'll get back to u guys on that.
Thanks though
