Sorry bro, didnt read the whole thread, good choice on the muffler changed. Make sure you upgrade your turbo tho, the 3in will dp will kill ko3/ko4s. As well as the feeling like a race car type thing, you mod this thing enough, it will, trust me.

 

Not a "race" car. Just a fun sporty luxury car. As far as turbo changing goes I just don't know whats out there. I was looking for a decsent turbo, but I can't find anything that has to do with tuning products, fuel pumps, afpr's, injectors, and all that jazz. Do you not have to do most of that stuff to these cars to make power. Also I can't find any info on turbos for these cars and where I can get them. Could you point me in the right direction for this stuff at all?

 

Theres about 3 *main* turbo bolt on kits for these cars. They go in order of power. Giac ko4,good tune-250hp. Pes t-28,ive seen dynos over 300hp, Apr stage 3,Ive seens dynos over 320hp, the Apr kit will spool faster because its ball-bearing. Will pretty much be always faster the the t28 unless youve got a custom tune.


Sounds like your not quite aware of exhuast choices quite yet, do yourself a favor and use 2.5 piping.

 

Yah. In my past experience the 3 inch was the best way to go with a turbo car so I just tried to apply that to this car. Of course then I was working with a bigger turbo than the K03 or K04. Isn't the APR Stage III like $4,500, cause thats what it says on their site. That is rediculous. I am looking into the tuning parts right now and it seems like there is a lot more to these cars than I predicted. Chip it instead of AFC. DV instead of recirculated BOV. I have only researched on these cars a little while so I have a lot more to learn so don't flame yet.

Late post, I know, but that thing sounds mean when you rev it up stand still. I didnt read through everyones post, but like audiboy said...i was also surprised when i read your piping size choices on stock turbo setup. Anyway...sounds great congrats.

 

Its sound the dog’s bollocks (cockney for great) but I have to say I don't like the single tip at the back looks a little lost on its own.

Someone asked about a tip on the other side, well to make it work correctly (talking Quattro here) you would have to cut-up your spare well to allow a pipe to run over that side as you can't run round because of the plastic fuel tank lives round there and trying to run it round behind the bumper would prob cost you power just for the looks.

 

The reason why i ask is that i just bought my car and i havent even had a chance to drive longer than the 15 min testdrive i took 2 weeks ago.
the guy that i bought it from is supposed to Safety it and E-Test it before i get possesion of the vechicle, of which im going to pick up next weekend so i dont really have a clue what the B5 Audi looks like from underneath.
