AWE Stage 3 Clutch Kit
Is anyone using the AWE Tuning Stage 3 Clutch and flywheel? How is the pressure and would you recommend it over a different setup? If not please post the setup you prefer. Thanks

RE: AWE Stage 3 Clutch Kit
the AWE kits just look like southbend kits
AWE
My southbend stage 5
so whoever is cheaper, i would go with. i have a stage 5 southbend and absolutely love it. pedal pressure is harder than stock and it releases at the floor compared to towards the ceiling with the stock clutch, but its nothing unbearable (im 5'7" 140 lbs and have no problems using it as a DD in Tally, which takes 20 min to go half a mile) and i definitely prefer it over the stock clutch. engagement is so much more solid

I would get a Southbend clutch but you can get either one from: www.avalonmotorsports.com

southbend stage 2 is rated at 290 ft lbs and costs 390
southbend stage 3 is rated at 300 ft lbs and costs 450
stage 4 is rated at 450 ft lbs and costs 585
stage 5 rated at 576 ft lbs and costs 650
18lb lwfw from southbend is 475, but i got mine for a little over 300 and its an 11lb flywheel

RE: SouthBend Clutch
the AWE stage 3 clutch has a kevlar lining and is rated at 400 ft lbs, but with southbend they use a kevlar lining on their stage 2 clutch (only rated at 290 ft lbs) and then upgrade to Feramic on their stage 3,4, and 5. and the pic they use on their site (the one i put above) looks identical to the stage 2 clutch from southbend
here's a pic of the stage 2 clutch from southbend
it jus raised a few flags in my head, might wana contact AWE and see what the deal is
