RE: average income of an A4 driver
i used to be a hardcore workaholic i had 3 jobs and skewl at one time, been workin since i can remember even at a young age
but now i only really have only one job now because that my parents closed thier factory, and i dont help my uncles that much at his shop (both jobs i never got paid for)
now i just work at a resturant just making enough to support my habits
i bought my car and own my car

As a rule of thumb, people who say how much they make are lying. Someone who was making a very good income wouldn't be gauche enough to announce it... it's in poor taste.
That being said, many of the wealthiest people I know don't buy luxury cars simply because they're a horrible investment, due to depreciation. Honestly I bought a new A4 this year, but it was probably the worst financial decision I've made in some time. I was just fine with my old Acura, but I felt that because I was earning money I was somehow entitled to a nice, new German car. Oddly enough my boss/mentor/partner who has a net worth that I estimate in the mid 7's has a 95 Corolla with 118k on it. Contrast that with the couple next door who work shitty jobs and think they're hot stuff because they have a C-Class and the husband has an UGLY LV briefcase. What a joke. [I recently bought a ridiculously expensive pair of shoes... and I've been feeling extremely guilty about it... makes me feel like my neighbor even though I can totally afford it.]

He doesn't understand why I would want to spend money to make a car faster if I can only drive it at the speed limit. He also won't let me get another car to get me started living my dream of track racing.
im making around 14K a year. 19 yrs old. Lifeguard.

The reason I got my ride is cuz I got a phatty check. If those phatty checks continue to roll in I'll never be scared about owning an audi. My wife and I together make close to 100k, our spending habits are normaly very reserved, getting this a4 is a splurge for us.
