autotrader does NOT give you the value of your vehicle...so before you start calling people smartasses you might wanna sit down and think about what you are saying....And if you are referring to the "value finder" option on the page all thats telling you is the highest, lowest, and average cost of the vehicles they have listed on their site. NOT the true value of the car.

I Just spent 5 min. and appraised my car on Canadas black book (trade in value) USA kbb, and USA edmunds.com....
The value of my car as a trade in is determined to be in canada $9500.
The value of my car as a trade in USA is $9350 (kbb) and $11040 (edmunds.com)
Thank you have a nice day.

All I can say is that I just bought an Audi, but before that I literally spent 2-4 hours a day for 2 weeks researching cars before I made my final decision. Autotrader, ebay, cars.com, kbb, you name it. Most 2000-2001 A4s with around 100,000 miles sell for $12,000-$13,000. I had to break a guy's ***** to get mine for less. Maybe thats just Arizona, but to expect a 2002-2003 A4 with less than 100k for the same price seems unrealistic.

September 05 I purchased a 2001 A4 1.8T Quattro.

100,000 km
$16,000 Canadian w/taxes from a dealer. www.autotek.ca (he had it listed at 15,995... talked him down pretty good, then told him I was goign th rough him for financing and he dropped another ~$400... then I brought him a cheque in for cash)

A lot of what you pay will be in your barganing skills aswell... cheaper to buy private then from a dealer too.

Listen all I am trying to say is that what people are selling their car for has nothing to do with the value of the car....You stated that an A4 in canada is worth more than an A4 in the US. What you keep showing me is what people are selling their A4 for. NOT the value of their car...what I posted was the trade in value of my car in Canada and the US...
