So I pulled the sub, amps and wiring this evening, as well as the carputer. Looks like its really gonna happen..
bye bye to my baby. I have been eyeing a few 2004 S4s with around 35-40k miles. Prices are not all that bad.

Will miss the ol girl, but I think an S4 will keep me going.

That said... I intend to unload a few mod items in the coming days - stay tuned...

That is unless someone was wanting to buy it knowing full well that the tranny is likely on its way out. Other than that this car is a beauty and I hate to see it go.

I briefly considered finding a rebuilt transmission, but I was going to get something new next summer anyway.
So I will unload it to Carmax most likely for cash and sell off the mods - chip, carputer, wheels, boost gauge and pod, mirror covers, etc...

I am on the fence about leaving the suspension on the car unless someone wants it. It's made the transition from my 98.5 A4 to the 2000 A4 and probably has 35K miles on it now.

I love to talk about people as if they are dying when they move on from their A4. Because its pretty much the same difference. As soon as you sign the purchase contract on an S4, you are dead to me. Later.

Sad to see it go, as long as you stop in on the a4 side of the forum every once in a while, i think things will be ok. Hope you find the S4 you really want!
