Default Automatic window

The atuo window function suddenly stopped working today. I cannot tap the drivers side switch and have the window roll down i have to hold it, but it still works on the passanger side. I have read on here a few times that audis have carzy electricals but is this normal? Is this an excuse to buy vag com?

have you had the battery disconnected at all??? the one touch will stop working if you recently un plugged the battery, but mine started working again about 20 minutes later...lol...

also, there is a way to set the one touch, search on these forums and im sure you can pull it up. its something like clicking three times and holding or something like that, maybe im completely wrong but i think i read something about that a while back.

No I havent disconnected the battery. It just stopped working out of the blue. And the break lights are messed up now. The inside light on the drivers side is always light like the brakes are on, when the lights are on, and the inside brake light on the passenger side is out. I really hope this is not a large problem setting in.

All I had to do to fix mine after battery disconnect, was to open the windows, then close them. Once fully closed, hold "up" on the switches for a second, and it was fixed. Try that and see if it fixes it.

I go to school in austin and it has been raining but it started before the first storm. However i did notice a week of so after i purchased the vehicle that there was some condinsation in hte passenger side rear tail light, i just decided to wait till i got back to houston over the summer to take it back to the dealership. It is an 03 and still under factory warrenty, plus it came with the ceritfied preowned warrenty, so i hope they will fix all of this.

To reset the window, lower it all the way and keep holding the button for 5 seconds after it goes all the way down, then raise it and hold the button for 5 seconds, this should reset the auto window down.

Your brake light "problem" sounds like you have the rear fog light on. When you flip on your headlights, are you pulling the **** out 2 clicks? The rear fog is on the inside of the taillight and looks like a brake light only on the driver's side. When you flip the headlight switch on, you can pull it out 1 click to turn on the front fog lights, and 2 clicks to turn on the rear fog (which I don't recommend using unless visibility is really bad).
