Default autohausaz.com

part number:068115561

Mahle/Mann
Oil Filter
Only for those cars with updated large capacity oil filter and synthetic oil per Audi/VW service bulletin regarding sludge buildup. Please contact Audi/VW for usage restrictions and warranty limitations. Autohaus makes no assurance on form, fit or function as this is not the original filter, nor do we recommend this change without specific Audi/VW authorization. Use of this filter will add oil capacity to the system - please use appropriate additional oil. Increased capacity upgrade filter for late model turbo, per Audi/VW. 1 per car.

So, im tired of getting my oil filters from ECS and paying like 10 million dollars for shipping. I always the the larger filter to prevent the sludge. This one above is the same exact thign right? Anyone have expierence with autohausaz.com as I have never purchased from them before

You can get the purolator L40316 from your local parts palces. That's a "big kahuna" w940/25 filter made by Mann

I buy the just-as-big-as-the-mahle model of Mobile one oilfilter. Advance auto parts carries them.

I purchased a large filter from ECS awhile back and just got around to changing the oil last weekend - Before that I had it serviced at Tiresplus - I was shocked to find that their "tiresplus" filter was the same size as the ECS one.

I know this is a really stupid thing to say but how do you guys reach the oil filter? - I just remove the G12 coolant tank and go down from the top. I looked around a little and didn't see an easier way in. yep I feel really dumb now

I open and tighten from the top, I pull it out from the bottom.

Thats the easiest way to do it, and only logical way from what I can see. It takes, what? 30 seconds to remove the 3 screws on the coolant resevoir and move it out of the way?

Its not to bad to get to from the bottom either, I usually go in from the top though.

Ihave had to crawl under to get a good enough grip on it to break it loose before, couldn't get a good enough grip on it from the top.
