my 1999 audi a4 is leaking oil really bad above the oil filter i was told it was an oil filter gasket or oil filter adapter gasket or something to that extent upon searching for the part i couldnt find anything if there is anyone who could help me with possibly the exact part name or a website where i could get the part it would be extremely appreciated and jus in case i cant find this website would u please email me at jus4recon@yahoo.com i will try to check back here in a little while and again thanks for the help

 

who told you an oil filter gasket? What engine does your car have?

the thing you need is possibly the "oil cooler o-ring"

 

my girlfriend talked to an auto parts store and they told her thats probably what it was. 4cyl. 1.8 turbo.
while searching on the internet i did see a couple times the part that its leaking out of may be called the oil cooler or something like that.
i will see if i can search it and see if it may be that.
we had a mechanic look at it and he said it was some kind of gasket leaking we are just not sure what gasket but its leaking out of the part that the oil filter screws into.
