AUDI DE Taking us for a quality ride
I have been a AUDI fan from the age of 16 and I am now 42. Being an Audi fan so long and moving with Audi a few things pisses me off currently of Audi. Knowing that Audi Ingolstadt deliver excellent financial results they obviously obtain it by dumping some finer points on the design / cost assessment and assembly line e.g.
1. With the release of the new shape Audi in 2001, the air conditioning piping had a nice plastic cover - with the release of the 2003 models it was dumped. Probably a saving of 10 EURO and on a 100,000 it amounts to a lot - some smart *** at Audi decided it is not necessary to contemplate what is goiing on beneath the bonnet - WRONG
2. Suddenly with the 2005 upgraded release the flip - up lighter is gone - another smart-*** at Audi Ingolstadt idea of saving money.
3. From my first model new shaped Audi the front doors rattle like a baby rattler and the Audi workshops are unable to fix it - if the smart-*** at Audi who suggested the above mentioned saving invested it into re designing the front door to prevent the rattling it would have been ok but no go they still keep on with the same ****.
4. The second value of an Audi is totally up to **** - I own a 2004 A$ 3.0 Quattro Tiptronic which costed me R 385,000 (USD 56,617) in January 2004 and wanting to trade it in in May 2005 with 22,000 km on the clock, they offered me an ............amount of .........guess what ........................R 260,0000 (USD 38,235)
Certainly I told the dealer to **** of and I meant actually that for AUDI Ingolstadt - I started with full time research because I had the following on my shopping list for Audi's
1. A4 3.2 Quattro Tiptronic - wife
2. A6 4.2 Quattro Tiptronic - me
3. Pikes Peak - known here as the Q7 - 4.2 Quattro Tiptronic - off road site work
and for my two top engineers planned
4. A4 2.0 FSI's - eng. for seeing clients (they have off road work pickups)
In investigating this whole damn matter it came to shock for me that Mercedes Benz models of 2001 & 2002 second hand values equals and better that of Audi 2004 models and that for model. for model.
As a bonus Mercedes Benz delivers now a 6 year/ 120,000km motor plan.
Sorry Audi - a keen fan for 26 years have come abruptly to an end
Regards
