As for getting hanged up on by Audi Canada, Audi corporate runs a pretty tight ship. Did you argue with the operator? Not saying you did, but if someone got beligerent with me on the phone, I'd hang up. A little good will goes a long way.
I never said anything out of sorts to anyone at audi. From the start they had a funny attiutude towards me and the car. At the dealer were I had the car serviced they didn't think buying the car on ebay and the fact that it had been in an accident was up to there standards or at least thats the feeling I got from them. Then they told me the car had been poorly repaired. When I showed them bills for the repairs were in fact done by audi then they say it wasn't one of there dealership which had done it. I had payed them for repairs which were done a month earlier at another dealership. The exact same repair and they didn't want to hear it. Finally I got fed up and called audi canada and just it got worse. Then to end it off a audi supervisor who i had been talking to said he would have an audi rep look at the car called me back on friday to tell me there is no warranty on the car. This is the same supervisor I had spoke with numerous times. The same guy who had explained the warranty on the car when i bought it. Then i guess they decided to change gears.

You must have some kind of paperwork stating that the car was fixed SOMEWHERE. If this place is a dealership, and if they deny working on your car, then this is where the lawyer comes in. Quite a few dealerships do not have outside insurance, instead they choose to deal with any insurance issues themselves (be self-insured against any lawsuits). You might have a claim against the dealership who "worked" on your car.

Before I bought the car I checked with the dealer that originally sold the car new and they told me I had the whole nine yards as far as the warranty but to be sure i called audi canada who told me the same thing. Then as issues started to arise audi canada (which is a call center in michigan) decided they didn't want to deal with it so they cut me off.

The owners manual of my Ford product states:

Your New Vehicle Limited Warranty also does not cover:

* vehicles that have ever been labeled or branded as “dismantled”, “fire”, “flood”, “junk”, “rebuilt”, “reconstructed”, or “salvaged”; this will
void the New Vehicle Limited Warranty

* vehicles that have been determined to be a “total loss” by an insurance company; this will void the New Vehicle Limited Warranty


I'd presume most manufacturers would be similar.

This all doesn't sound good. Hope it all works out for you.

If this vehicle has a salvage title then you have no warranty. If a specific dealer told you that the vehicle was under warranty then you may have recourse against them. All they have to say is that new information that they learned about your car, proving that it was in a major accident, constitutes them believing it should have been labeled a total loss and therefore carries no warranty. In the end you may have to chalk this one up to a learning experience. I purchased my A4 off of eBay so you'll get no crap from me about that. But, I also made sure I did a carfax report on the car before I purchased it. Mine came up clear and I have had no problems. Yours might have come up as a salvage and if it didn't carfax would buy it back from you now that all this crap is happening to you.

In the end all we can say is Sorry - BTW - exactly how much did you pay for the car - is the listing still up on ebay - put a link here so

When i talked to audi before buying the car they new the whole story regarding the title of the car as did I. The car had been written off by isurance, purchased at auction by the individual i bought the car from and rebuilt by his audi dealer. This was info audi had through the vin # of the car. No one was putting anything over on anyone. In fact the dealer who rebuilt the car did warranty work on the car while they were rebuliding it. I have receipts to prove this. Audi Canada was asked on several occasion by me before and during any issue arose to clarify the warranty on the car. The reply was always the same 80k or 4 year audi advantage warranty unless anything was deemed to be caused by the accident that hadn't been repaired. That was not covered. Then as it started to get sticky for them at audi I guess they decided to run. Whats even funnier is that when I got the call on friday from audi canada telling me i had no warranty they asked me if i had any bills showing warranty work had been done on the car. I said i did and they went silent. i asked to speak to someone above them and i haven't heard back yet. I think there checking with there legals because the last couple of conversations with them seem to me as though they were just fishing for info. As far as the price and listing i rather not disclose that at this point. Its becoming a real conspiracy. Any info I've given to audi they've managed to turn on me. So until i clear this up i'm staying quiet.

Thank you to everyone for info, help and consideration. It hasn't help me with my anger towards audi but it reconstituted a faith in kindness and understanding. Any addition info would be great.

Sounds like should keep pushing the issue, I'd be calling every couple days if no one is getting back to you. You need to get the right customer rep. The one with savvy to think outside the box and knows how to get things done. Not everyone has this apptitude.
The level of expertise can vary greatly with all call center support. You need to find the vet.
