Audi A4 Heat Problem...NEED HELP ASAP!
Hello,
I need some help with my 99 A4 Quattro. Ok, I recently got my coolant flushed many times over again but I am still not getting HOT HOT heat....just warm at times. It seems that the Thermostat is working fine but fluctuates at times. Any idea what this could be? PLEASE HELP!
**The heat is set @ "HI" at all times but does not blow warm at all unless on the freeway....then a little warmer.

Is the car getting up to temp? It can be only a few things. If the car is not getting to temp, then you have a stat stuck "open" which is better than closed. It will result in lower MPG, a cooler running temp, and longer warm up periods, little to no heat until fully to temp... which sounds like what you've got going on. If the stat truely is fine, then it has to be something in the heater core. I'd think it'd be a clogged core, and I've had them not be "flushable" before.
I'd start there, hope it helps.

The TStat gets up to about 1/2 about 25% of the time and then other times it will stay a mark under the half point. But to get up to 1/2, it takes sometime....maybe 20-30 minutes of driving. Let me know.

there are 2 black hoses by the battery. they are like 1.5" big or so. one of them has a tiny hole on the side which is a bleeder hole. you need to bleed the system there or you won't get heat. there's been tons of posts like this too. do a bit of searching and you'll know exactly what i'm talking about. i jsut woke up so i may be a bit unclear on some things lol
