Hi there
I have just purchased an Audi A4 1.9tdi 2003 Quatro Avant 130bhp 6 Speed Manual, and it seems pretty darned slow to me.
Mycolleague has the exact same car (none avant/quatro) and it seems a heck of a lot faster.
I realise that my car is an estate, but surely it shouldn’t be LOADS slower.
When I say slower I mean 0-60 &in gear acceleration.
It’s sluggish like a VW Polo 1.3.
There's no black smoke coming out the rear, and it starts first time and runs smooth.
Any ideas?
Would it be worth having it plugged in at an Audi garage?
The engine management light IS NOT on.
I haven’t tried anything yet to put it right, it just doesn't seem like it boosts properly (mycolleagues audiis factory standard &yet your thrustback into your seat when you accelerate hard).
I'm not new to cars, but am new to Modern Audi's.
Any help would be much appreciated

well his car is lighter
maybe he has some modifications he didnt tell you about

 

No, as I stated earlier, his car is NOT modified in anyway andhe's had it from new.
The handbook actually quotes the quatro as being 0.1 sec faster.
anymore ideas?

if u listen to him, he isnt talking abotu times, he is talking about the feel once he is going. go to an autozone or something of the sort and have them pull codes. if its nothing, start modding that ****!! btw, i was looking around for 1.9tdi modds, but i couldnt find any sites. know any"?
