I would call AOA to see if there was a way you could send the rotors to themto personally determine if they were defective or not. And if they are found to be defective, have AOA reimburse you for the expenses.

If the rotors were bad from the giddy-up, AOA should eat the cost since they never should have been on the car in the first place.

It's a long shot, but it is an option.

The service at Audi dealers or their importers are real s***. My case is no diff from yours. Gear Box Oil Leak and made many references to the dealer that I got so frustrated with their indifference regarding the issue that I threw an e-mail to Audi Germany itself. Lo and behold, I got such a nice cutesy call from their Service Manager a few days later, apologising for the problem caused and are instructed to proceed with the Warranty Claim as per se. Also, since then Audi Germany has been in contact with me to see if my prob was resolved. Course not, my gear box transmission has to be changed the second time which they claimed the stock is yet to arrive from Germany. ( Changed once and still leaking ). Still waiting.......

Like he said, try different dealers. They are basically independant so some will be good and some will suck. Its that way with any car manufacturer's dealer site.

TDRILL what part of SC do you live in now?....funny thing is I was born and raised in SC till I was 19 then joined the military and moved to NC.
I am right in Greenville man. Been down here about a year and a half. The people are nicer and less rude, but I miss the north. We will see how much longer I last.

I've dealt with three different Audi dealerships in the last couple of years and two of them have been fantastic and the third one was ok. I'm currently having my cars serviced by Sewickley Car Store in Sewickley, PA near Pittsburgh and they have treated me like gold. My S4 had some problems that were not warranty related but Sewickley took care of me. In one instance the drain plug was hacked up by the quick-lube that had serviced the car for the previous owner. They had stripped out the allen socket and had welded a bolt head onto the drain plug. Needless to say when my car went in for it's last service the tech spotted the problem. Someone also trashed the clips that hold the fuse panel cover onto the dash. In addition, the bracket for the under seat storage bin was bent and when the seat was moved back or forward it made an awful grinding sound as a result. Sewickley pushed all of it through as warranty for me. I didn't pay a penny to have these issues remedied.

I had a very similar positive experience with Rusnak Audi in Pasadena, CA where I used to live. My TT had a bunch of warranty problems that they took care of very professionally. In the course of dealing with them I mentioned to the service advisor that I worked with that my driver's side rear-view mirror was scratched. When I picked the car up later that day it had been replaced at no charge. In another visit they were trying to fix a rattle in the back of the car and in the course of replacing the rear package shelf the tech snagged the C-pillar upholstery panel. They paid for a new part, shipped it to me in Ohio and paid a shop to install it without any hassles to me.

Cascade Audi in Cuyahoga Falls wasn't as helpful. My driver's side seat bolster on my TT had worn abnormally. The car had just under 30k on it and the bolster on the outside looked like garbage. The service manager looked at the car and two weeks later after talking to the Audi rep told me that I was stuck with the repair out of pocket. I guess I really can't blame him as this was a situation where AOA decided not to honor the good will intent of their warranty. They came back at me with the line "Upholstery and trim is not covered under warranty." They also told him that since I was not the original owner of the car that I was ineligible for a courtesy warranty of the seat cover. I ended up buying a new upper seat back cover at an installed cost of $800. Oh well. You can't win them all.

Overall my experiences with Audi dealers has been very positive. I'm sorry you've been dealt an unfair hand. I still would keep my car though. Audi's are amazing cars. I think for the money you can't touch them. I've BMW's and Mercedes' and I keep coming back to Audi's. I fell in love with the marque with my first 5000 turbo back in 1987. I hope this works out for you.

WOw, thus far, my experience with Audi has been great. I bought my A4 B7, two months ago. I have a light silver exterior, and the black panel division had a noticable scratch, without any question they replaced it. Hopefully this great service will continue,

I was pretty pleased with the Audi dealership...until today.

My car is still under factory warranty, and the ashtray cover broke so I took it into Audi to get it fixed.
What did they do? some tech sat in the car, pushed the cover, determined it was broken and recommended it was replaced. They said they needed to order the part.
I asked if it was covered under warranty. Here's the kicker. They said only if it wasn't influenced by outside forces. And the only way to determine that is if they take it apart and see inside of it. And if they do take it apart and sees that it was outside forces, they would charge me for labor. What kind of crap is that? Basically I am gambling on if I get chargedfor that part or not. How do I know if it was outside influence or not? I assumed they would take it apart and see and then tell me if it was covered under warranty or not. Not make me gamble with it. Essentially, they are saying, if something breaks on your car and you bring it in under warranty, you don't know if you will get charged for it or not. Complete BS. Anyway, that was my rant.

Have any of you experienced anything like this? BTW the ash tray was $165. I will start to call them Stealership from now on.

Well, own an Audi since 2001 , first the 1.8T then changed to 2.0 Turbo FSI less than 2 years ago.Bought the 1.8T from a dealer who also represented Nissan. I can testify that their after sales service is like not worth commenting. . My first Audi incurred quite a number of major problems, like paint on bonnet cover peeling off after 6 months, air cond conked out, computerised dash lighting dimmed out completely... Tried to claim then since it was still under warranty, but the dealer gave all sorts of excuses. Then I guess I was too naive to complain and forked out quite a large amount of money for the repairs. No choice, couldn't sell the car with this kind of deteriorating condition. After a while , the Audi dealership was taken over by Euromobil, a large corporation with gov links. They gave me a real good deal on my 1.8T and walah, I traded it in for the newer 2.0 Turbo FSI. One year into it and probs of course starts to crop in as expected, after all its mechanical. First the brake pedal squeaking like there is a rat inside everytime the pedal is depressed, the Gear Box Oil Leak, flank prob whereby the coolant leaks........ Sent in for repairs and thorough trouble shooting, came back, can't diagnosed anything. Talk about high tech.
Not until the leaks got worse then they finally agreed to the above complains, and that only after much waiting in the dark and filing an official report to Audi Germany!!!! Imagine those dealers or importers have to be pushed by some biggie to get things done . Right now, after much complaints ( for which I didn't really like to do, but no choice) they treat me like gold.... But I'm still waiting for the parts to arrive from Germany for replacement. Gee, all these really can caused some frustration!
As for how many dealerS or importerS I dealt with .... 2 is more than enough.!!!!
For your info, I am not from the States. I live in Malaysia and there are not too many dealers and workshops that specialised in Audi like in the States. Probably I should get a car with wider after sales service, but I personally prefer Audi above all other cars, not in terms of service, but in the sleek design and powerful speed that Audi possessed. Had an E class Mercs once, never really like it, but service definately better there. Like they say, nothing is perfect....
