ATP GT2X VS GT28RS TURBO SETUP

RE: ATP GT2X VS GT28RS TURBO SETUP
Im here to tell you my ko4 setup will take a 28rs on the autox track. Im not sure how much autoxing youve done, but the ko4 ownz at it. I had prolly the fastest ko4 car on non pc16/j31. On pc16 its a crazy torque setup.

RE: ATP GT2X VS GT28RS TURBO SETUP
I have only autocrossed this car twice, but used to do it routinely with previous cars. I just don't see how a 28rs could lose making more torque and more hp at higher rpm levels. With an even moderately skilled driver, who can keep his rpms up in turns and stay in the high rpms around the track, he should really not have much trouble. Now, most people probably don't want to drive their cars keeping the rpms no lower than about 4.5k around the track. I'm just saying that if the person you are racing is skilled enough to do this, I believe he would take you. I may be wrong, but I have autocrossed quite a bit, from old rwd turbo toyota corollas to wrx's, and from my personal experience, it seems like a 28rs would win. But, I have to give you the benefit of the doubt, because I personally have never autocrossed this car yet, and I have never autocrossed a k04 a4...I have only beat them on the highway....lol......

Maybe your unaware of ko4 files making over 350ft/pd, torque and autox is where its at. Sure on the highway the 28rs going to be faster, thats rocket science there. But i can garentee you my old ko4 setup on pc-16 you wouldnt stand a chance to 70mph.

RE: ATP GT2X VS GT28RS TURBO SETUP
so audi boy, would you suggest a Ko4-015 with the giac pc-a6 hardware for 0-60 races...like from a roll? ...im only interested in going from around 0-w/e.... did you happen to get the numbers to the ground with that set up?

RE: ATP GT2X VS GT28RS TURBO SETUP
Anyone will tell you a ko4 pc-16/j31 car will take a bt to 60. The bt guys on the zine will agree. The ko4 spools so fast and makes so much torque, but only up untill a certain point. The bt will be reeling on you the whole time, and pass you around 70 or 80mph.Its only a matter of time.

lol! this thread is still hot!
i'm assuming you are really advancing the timing with the c-16 gas in the tank?..
anyhow.. i think anyone who's thinking of going one way or another needs to test drive the setups before making the decision.
some people can't/don't know how to drive high rev engines, and some do.
anyone who wants to try out the gt28rs power is more than welcome to swing by the shop for a test run... just gimme a heads up.
