I've been looking to buy rubber floormats for my car but can't even seem to find them at the dealership the guy told me that they only go back to 99? I didn't believe him and thought maybe someone on here has them in a '98 and maybe a heads up on where I can get them?

I'm willing to bet he's full of crap. If he's not full of crap, then I'm willing to bet he just doesn't know what he's talking about, because M/Y '99 was still pre-facelift B5, so the floor mats should be the same shape and everything.

I don't know what Audi was thinking, but it seem that the 99.5 model changed everything so drastically that even the floor boards are different. I too am looking for something for my 99 and no one seems to have anything. The dealer in my area does still have some left over carpeted floormats that I'm going to pick up this week (they're even the right color!!). Anyone have any luck making the universal cut-to-fit type work? I really need something to keep the water off the carpet.

 

I just got a 97. wally world has some deep grooved rubber mats that fit fine. They dont have anchors but they will do the job and they were less than $10 each.

 

I have a really nice set of mats for my 97, they were about $100 but well worth it. I'll try to find the website for you.
