i was lookin on ebay for some parts for my 2001 audi a4 1.8t when I ran across some cheap front mount intercoolers. they include all of the piping and are only about $400. But from my experience most intercooler kits are almost twice that much. Does anyone on this forum use them? or are they just crap?thanks

I'd hazard a guess that they are POS, you'd probably lose power instead of gain anything.

Also, what kind of piping was it? if it is steel then it's not ideal since the steel piping heats up and thus heats up the air your trying to keep cool.

I installed my AWE FMIC on monday and I'm loving it, much better boost response and I can hold boost pretty much to redline which I could never do with the stock side mount and CAI. They are actually pretty cheap @ 899 until their production run is gone then it goes up to 999 i think.

 

you get what you pay for, and if you go cheep you will only end up paying more in the end anyways becuase it will porbably break, thus causing more **** to break and that more to fix and replace

 

you got the link to that part? it would be better to evaluate!!! but 400$ is really cheap, its more like 1k!!
