This is my first post, but i think its in the right place.

My brother recently purchased a 2001 A4 2.8 Quattro 5 speed.

When he baught the car, he realized that there was no antenna. He bought the car from a Honda dealer, and they said that all they can do is get ahold of audi in Germany and order one, but my brother would haveto pay for it + shipping. Is there anywhere else (maybe even on the internet) that he can get one, a little cheaper maybe? Would an Audi dealer have one (we have one about an hour away)?

Antenna is in the rear window i beleive... My 01 is anyways

 

ya up until 03/04 its in the rear window, now they have shark fins.

 

His has it on the roof (towards the back, the actual wires are on the window). There is this black stick about an inch long, with a silver screw on the top. Looks like someone took it off or something.

Ok i think i was saying it wrong. I meant the antenna amplifier, thats on the roof. Anyway, ill get some pics a little later.

looks aftermarket to me....but I'm a noob....I would think if it were stock, Audi would have done a little bit better in concealing the cables going into the headliner.

 

yeah that is aftermarket. Looks really bad on there!!! TAKE IT OFF!!!! PLEASE!!!!

Looks like a CB antenna to me; get rid of it asap.
