ok so whenever i unlock my car it makes this weird meowing(ya meowing sound) sound but not when i lock it. when i opened my trunk one time i pressed the unlock button and heard that it was coming from the front right part of the trunk right behind the little compartment for the net. the lights also flash until the sound stops. im still always able to lock and unlock the car but it just gets very annoying. i was thinking maybe its some sort of fuse or something but im just not sure. some help would be very helpfull

i have the same noise ... its from from gas cap ... the gas cap locks and unlocks with your doors and thats what you hear ... i havent tried to fix it b/c i dont really care but i'm guessing some kinds of lube would work.

 

but it almost sounds like an electrical problem. i mean im sure its not normal.

 

i get the sound out of the gas door. theres a locking pin that goes through a hole and thats what squeaks. i greased mine up and it stopped for like 2 days. i think if i sanded it a bit that may solve the problem.

 

Sometimes you have to wait more than 20 minutes for a response.... The noise is the pump that works your locks. They work through presurized air. The locking pump is supposed to whine a little when it is operating. When they start to go bad they might "meow" like you describe.... I think..

 

you have air leak from one of the lines from central locking system.most likeli check the hose wich gose behinde the rear seat.remove rear seat cushen passenger rear side of the car where the rear trim peace cover up the carpet.onse you remove the seat go there and try to lock or unlock the car and listen for air leak noise when the pump is activated.also in the trunk right next to the right rear tail light the re is a small storage compartment remove it if it is not there pull the carpet out you will see where the pump is chech the conectors there .let me know if you foundet if you want
