Amp Install. Tapping directly into stock amp

Amp Install. Tapping directly into stock amp
I have read all the forums on installing an amp in a b6 and I still dont know exactly how to do it. I want to tap directly into the stock amp through the rear speaker outputs but im not sure how to. Do I use a male or female RCA wire when I splice the rear output wires? Also I talked to the guy from a4mods.com and he said to tap the RCA wire directly into pins 7 and 8 on the stock amp (left and right rear outputs) with a ground for each. Is a ground for each necessary. If so how do I ground an RCA wire??

RE: Amp Install. Tapping directly into stock amp
Your amp has to have speaker level inputs for you to hook up an amp to the speakers. its that simple - you don't splice in your RCA's to the speaker wires. You'll have to research on your amp if it is possible.

Getting to late - I'll look around a little tomorrow - I would suggest going with a kenwood amp that puts out about what power you need. how much money are you lookin to spend?
