yea you have to remove the fan.. and need a spanner wrench to hold the thing in place.. but i swear to everything holy i did it in my last car with out removing the fan, and it was a 99 aeb.. so i dont know.. if i knew someone around me who had a 2000 a4 i would gladly sell them my stage 3+ kit trade over the stock parts then burn this a4
