Default RE: all the BT talk

My DSM (1991 Plymouth Laser Automatic FWD... Fully built racing transmission, rebuilt engine, camming, FMIC, a ton of fun stuff) was fun as Hell. I'd run anything I pulled up next to, but DSMs love attention, and I really didn't feel like putting in the wrench time on the car (It needed it constantly), so I parted it out, I really miss it. It was cool, because when I was in a "I feel like scaring somebody" mood, I would just jump in the car, and go find a few ricers to prey on.

Best race ever: I was out going for a cruise one night, I just got done spending $40 on a half tank of 110Octane, I was sitting at a stop light admiring how nice the HKS 272/264 Camshafts sounded... When I heard laughing. I look over and see this brand new Audi A6, with the windows down, and in the passenger seat some hip gangsta' wannabe' drunk out of his mind laughing at me... Straight up POINTING AT MY CAR, AND LAUGHING. Right before the light turned green, he yelled "Hey buddy, wanna' run 'em? BWAHAHAHAHA"

So I did... But first, a little background on how I had to drive this thing. Since it had a 3,500 Stall, and it was Automatic with quite a bit of Horsepower and Torque, I had to ease into the power, move through first gear and halfway into second before I could go 100% Throttle. That's the only way I could keep traction without slicks. But in this case, I said Fück it, I punched it to the floor... Waited a second, all the sudden I saw him break his neck turning around as he heard the Turbo charging up loud as Hell, then... From 900RPM straight to 4,000RPM, and I take off blowing smoke everywhere, hearing nothing but spooling, and the hiss of the open wastegate dump. I go flying by the effortlessly and keep going to 100MPH (Didn't take long), I look back and they're keeping their distance. So I slow down gradually, until I was at 35MPH and they were still keeping their distance. Then I looked up, uh oh, RED LIGHT.

They pulled back up next to me, and this time home boy wouldn't even acknowledge my presence. I turned right, laughing my *** off at these guys.

I miss my ugly fast car. [&o]

This is the only way I could drive the car, without breaking traction horribly... From 20MPH-100MPH. Just watch.

Turn the volume up all the way... And multiply that by about 10, that's how loud this thing was, haha.

Yes, yes it was VERY ugly... VERY fast.

Mine gets out of the hole like a raped ape!! but it's a GSX w/ LSD. As far as 35-40 psi on stock internals no way maybe forged.......I have seen guys dip into low 12's on the stock 14b and a BIG 16G will get you even further. I run a 1.6 60' and 0-60 in 4.4 give or take, but I also have it striped down to 2900lbs with a full tank. Eclipse's are cool but mine is a 91 (15 yrs old) and **** rattles plus I get sick of the HKS 255lph wining behind my head. A 12 sec A4 wins my vote

Look into it Beer Mod... I'll post up some videos of my friends' DSMs. Most of them are running 35-40psi on stock block, no joke.

With what turbo? A 14b falls off very fast after 22psi and a Big 16G will only do 30psi w/ major mods. I'm not saying it can't be done, just never seen it before and I'm into DSM's like Tom Ritt's into Audi...........LOL

P.S. that video would kick ***

I pushed my 14B to 23psi before it started spiking... But most of the guys I know pushing 35psi-40psi are running GT42s or GT35Rs.

I'll post up one of the videos I have handy, I'll have to host the others.
