In the future, try searching a little for your answer, I've answered the same question on this forum probably 20 times.

Jack up the car so the wheel is off the ground. grab the wheel on each side with your hands, and try to move it. It should not move at all. If it has play in it and moves, then your tie-rod ends are probably worn. You can watch the tie rod end as you do this. You'll be able to see that there is some play in it.

This is where:
http://www.purems.com/products/product.php/II=1739

Its a simple DIY unless they are seized too badly. It might take a shop an hour to do both, so labor might be an extra $70 depending on where you go. So $150 ish to have someone else do them after labor, or about $70 to DIY. Not bad. Of course youll still need an alignment, and thats extra. But tie rod ends arent as expensive or complicated to replaceas you might think... or assume.

Agreed.

I was also thinking of doing my alignment and going to use a local found via the above link. My car doesn't veer to the right or left with hands off the steering wheel but the tires are getting louder with time. It's that rotational whirwhirwhir noise. The original set sounded like a truck when they came off. The new set has been on a year now and is starting to do it as well. They have a great treadwear rating so I know that's not it. I am going to rotate them front to back when I do my brakes and hope that helps but it's annoying to sound like a 4x4 when driving around town at moderate speeds... though we are technically a 4x4... anyone else experience this?

I have GoodYear Assurance Triple Tread with 740 tread wear. They don't
seem louder than the origonal Eagle LSs.
