yeah if anyone knows where the little connectors are under the seats of a b5 that would be nice and also where they are in the seat themselves... maybe i could put a end to this air bag light madness

how did you cleared yours?
Mine is on forever, today I ran a vag-com diag. and got the airbag error code, cleared it, the light switched off in the dashboard just for 5 seconds and got back on... so how do I turn it off? Can I do it using vag-com?

i cleared my airbag light a month ago and still has not come back

Clearing it is the best you can do. In mjvss21's case it must've been a 1-time error, in your case there is probably a problem with the connector as there is with mine. I still havent gotten a chance to look up how much a new connector for the steering wheel one costs [:@] Maybe i'll try the stupoid zip-tie idea. Then again it IS an airbag, maybe keep safe and not ghetto-rig it if the connector isn't TOO overpriced

Typical steering column air bag 'clock spring' assembly. #1 "not cheap"
Federal mandate PPS system seat setup. #2

I just took my car in today for the airbag light. The dealership said there is a service bulletin for this issue. They were able to fix pretty quickly.

My receipt says the Technical Bulletin 69-05-06 had not been done.

I don't know if that applies to all cars but I suppose it could be worth checking out.
