Aftermarket Head Unit NEED HELP
I know I know this topic has been discussed many times before. But I am having a ****ing hard time gathering all my info I need to replace my stock uinit. I have a 2000 A4 B5 with the Bose sound system. I have come to the understanding that I am going to need a few things. I am trying to locate and adapter to make sure that the unit does not over power the speakers. I have found a place called PIE that sells adapter but I am not sure they are the ones I need. I am looking to place a Kenwood unit and then put 2 10" JL subs in the trunk. ANY AND ALL INFO WOULD BE GREAT. Again I know this is a beaten subject but I gotta make sure I so this right.
Thanks

RE: Aftermarket Head Unit NEED HELP
you dont need any special adaptor just get a harness and throw in your new deck. 2 jl's would rattle the trunk on mine so id wrap it with dynomat. thats just my trunk though (got 1 jl), yours may be different.

to use an aftermarket radio you will need a bose adapter to signal to the speakers since they are amped (factory) i don't rember what model the adapter is but do a google search under audi bose adapter and the aftermarket deck that you deside on needs to have 3 sets of rca pre outs

yep i just got mine in yesterday it makes my 2 12" T1 Pioneers rock muchhhh deeper bass. yeah you also need to wire together the brown and orange wires when you take it out or your car wont start (at least on my B6). also yeah antenna adapter because it is soo weak signal. and the rca outputs too cuz stock one doesn't have them. here is a pic of my install yesterday.
