Default Advice on 1.8T purchase

the car:

http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...ce=&cardist=51

ok i went for a test drive, thing was amazing, and i love it
after some negotiations (very little), i was able to get the guy to agree to trading in my car + $3.5k
i'm going to call monday and try to get him down to $2k, which i think ill be able to do since its the end of the month, its an '00 model, and the '08 will be released soon so they need to clear inventory

ps my car has 81kmiles on the dot, a bad key mark on the front right fender and the back bumper has plenty of scratches / holes from the previous owner (not to mention the numerous little chips on the front bumper and hood from highway driving)

whatdaya think?? good deal?

Don't know. check KBB or others.

What else does it have? Xenons? Cold weather package? Convenience package? Sport suspension? Not enough info.

I bought my 2000 in 2004 with Xenons, cold and convenience package and 75K miles for 11.5

thought it said what it had in the ad....

45k miles, sport, bose sound, cold weather package, premium package (from what i can tell... didnt look under the visor for the garage door opener). umm yea... dont' know about xenons, but since the sales rep didnt mention it... doubt it

It might just be me, but that doesnt look like a sport. The wheel gap is kida big and those look more like 15" wheels than 16".. But I may be wrong on that... Anyway, I'd take it for $12k max. Thats good mileage.
Nevermind i just saw the closeup pic of the wheel, its 16... good deal. and it has the sport steering wheel.. duh.. Have you made an offer?

why in the world would you trade in your newer car for an older 1.8t and then pay 3k? if you plan to mod alot then there are other deals to be had on a 1.8T! i say keep your nicer car and look further if you realy want the turbo car. FYI i paid 13K out the door for my 01. fully loaded with all options(xenon, every package, with 50k on it) and that was at a stealership
