I have a 1998 A4 2.8 and recently the ABS is kicking in any time I brake firmly at low speed turning left, e.g turning into a parking space. I just had the dealership look at it and they simply said that until a light comes on the dashboard, there's nothing they can do!!! Surely there's a more sensible solution??
its meant to kick in but what do you mean by over reacting??

he means it's kicking in when clearlyit's not needed-- over reacting.

the ABS cuts in at 15mph which is what its designed to do regardless of if you think it over reacting, is it snatching like trying to lock the wheels?? problem with the dealer they should have done a diagnostic to confirm if there was a fault with the breaking system rather than concentrating on the ABS

One year on, I am still getting ABS shudder just pulling into a parking spot. Dealer says can't do anything unless light comes on in dash which it hasn't.
