ABS+Brake warning went away

RE: ABS+Brake warning went away
the ABS and BRAKE light will come on at the same time to let you know your ABS is not functioning properly. did the car accelerate any differently??? its usually just a sensor when these two lights are on at the same time... when u installed your brake pads you probably dusted off the sensor and cleared it up a little bit..

BUT the light that says "BRAKE" will come on when the brake fluid is low
And the brake fluid is usually low because the rear pads are worn, you know cause the brake fluid takes up the space in the brake system

RE: ABS+Brake warning went away
I just changed the front pads, and while I was at it, I also grinded the rust off the disks. This meant running the car without the brakes (with ABS sensor) in place. I got all kinds of warnings bleeping and flashing lights. When all was done, i was rid of the orange brake warning, but had the ABS warning light instead.
After braking hard on gravel, activating the ABS, the warning light disappeared.
It seems the ABS and brake warning light will stay on until it's activated, and the system find it in working order.
Just thought I'd let everyone know.
