that with a simple chip and turbo upgrade you'll be spanking him all over the block? you have quattro? your panel gaps are half that of his? Caddy has only reciently turned to a younger audience with the CTS, yet they are still primarily senior citizens cars... or gangsta's. i could go on, this should be asy man

i think he said it the best with the Gangster and senior citizen car.. he cant really say much to that. unless hes black and selling drugs in which case leave the ganster part out. just shoot him some gang signs when ur driving next to him.. he'll get the picture

The CTS is actually a pretty nice car. Its about as close to a 5-series you can get from an American car-maker.

That being said its a different animal than an A4. Its larger, heavier, and RWD. A CTS is about the size of an A6, though it costs about the same as an A4. The platform it uses is also exclusive to Cadillac, unlike the A4 platform which is shared with VW (Passat).

All that being said, your A4 is more nimble, better looking, and has AWD. If those aren't enough by themselves to favor the A4, maybe you bought the wrong car.

stock for stock caddy wins but with a few upgrades you should kill him or just take him for a quattro ride on a good caynon drive.

Yeah, thats the thing...I've got a 2.8, so my mod-options are somewhat limited. But I'm not necessarily trying to smoke him off the line, just having a little pissing contest. I've got nothing against the CTS, and I actually like the look of them. Just breakin his *****, thats all. But yeah, I've got the quattro, so that's a hands-down advantage, so I'll hang my hat on that.

And A4inMontreal...don't you worry, I'm definitely lovin my new ride. My short-list was an A4 or a Passat (which are pretty close anyways)....and i definitely bought the right one!

Well I just recently got a Silver+Black 99.5 B5 1.8T QMS ... I can say I definitely prefer the nimbleness, AWD stickiness, and NOT HAVING A CAR PAYMENT. Of course I don't have anything I can personally compare it to, but I feel I made an excellent choice.

Ummm we just got a loaner CTS from the Caddy dealership cause my mom took her car in for service and let me say that CTS smokes my B6 A4 1.8T w/ chip and exhaust. CTS accelerates much faster since there is no turbo that must spool and the RWD is deffinatly fun to drive. Nice break from the A4 but I would never consider buying any car made by GM. They just aren't worth all the mechanical problems, when we bought the SRX V8 we had a week before the powersteering went. That was enough for me.

Well like most races this depends on a few things. The 2005(which is a carry-over from 04) CTS comes in two engines. The 3.2 puts out 220hp and the 3.6 puts out 255.
The 3.6l does a 0-60 right around 6.6, with a 1/4 mile of 15 flat. GRKA... What is your Audi running? Providing you got a 3.6l, it really shouldn't have felt that much fast than your Audi. Unless they gave you a V series but i doubt that.
