A4 in STRONG crosswinds

A4 in STRONG crosswinds
Hi all, I'm considering an A4 purchase and need to learn how they handle strong crosswinds. I live in northern New Mexico where we have several months of strong winds -sustained 35 mph; gusts up to 50-70mph. All this while driving on our interstates at about 80 mph. The speed limit here is 75. So, I'd greatly value hearing of others' experiences with the A4 in such conditions. It will definitely impact my decision. My current vehicle ('05 Nissan Xterra) get blown all over the highway. Thanks very much.

well, i also have a house in Palm Springs and on the way there, i have to go thru like 10 miles of a windmill zone. I have driven thru it, in a durango, Range Rover, 5 series, A4 A6. I think the a6 is the best then my A4. Then the 5 series then range. It handles well, it does let u know the wind is there, but i have never had to put 2 hands on the wheel or correct for wind pushing me into the other lane. I have no idea the speed of the winds there, but i would guess around 30-50 mph winds. I assume each model of A4 will be different. I have a B5, what are u looking at?

the A4, along with all other recent german cars are what they call autobahn inspired cars. which means they they are stable up to 160 mph windtunnel speeds.
it just adds more downforce....
also, any car with a decently low profile will do fine in high winds, its when you get more air traveling under the car that starts to make lift, if enough air cant get under the car, then, like a wing, the air pressure can't be higher on the bottom than on the top. making it stick to the ground
wind, is one of audi's stronpoints

left aileron, right rudder/vise versa and youll stay straight fighting that crosswind. ahhahah
and yes, lowered car has less high pressure underneath so it will help tons. high pressure underneath, low on top = lift.

I live in Palm Desert CA which is near Palm Springs, we get a lot of wind. My 1997 audi handles the wind pretty well going 80mph on the freeway. I do notice a little pull when the wind is blowing perpendicular to me, but it has never pulles so much that i thought i was going to get blown off the road.
