While driving to work yesterday, my husband's A4 started going dead. He just replaced the battery, and is pretty sure it's the alternator. The problem is that he's trying to replace it himself, but can't get the old one out!
Has anyone had to replace the alternator on a Quattro before? Is this something we won't be able to do ourselves? We are really trying to avoid having to take it to the dealer (especially since it's like 40 miles from where we live and we'd have to get the car towed...again.)
